A taste of Kristinehamn

Kristinehamn has several producers of local food and drink. Most of these belong to this network called Smaka på Kristinehamn, which means “A taste of Kristinehamn”. You can buy many of their products at either of these shops – Ostbjörn or Nyvalls Livs. You can also visit the producers themselves – many of them have shops.

Galen i äpplen makes juice of apples grown in their own orchard.

Hygns Vilt sell meat from wild animals and their own charcuteries. Catering and shop.

Ljusåsens Gård makes cheese from local milk.

Långeruds Hjortgård och Chark sell meat from wild animals.

Mor Carins make homemade Swedish cheesecake (different from the american one) and homemade jam.

Oliveriet is an authentic Italian restaurant and trattoria. They also sell products from Italy and local produce.

Panncentralen is a restaurant located in the same building as the art museum. Serves homemade food and Swedish fika.

Sockerslottet is a chocolate factory and café located in an old refurbished church.

Stinas Gårdsbutik makes jam, marmalade and chutney of local berries and fruit.

Sörgården Gårdsbutik sell meat from their own farm at their shop in Vike.

Västanås Gård sell meat from their own cattle and their own cold pressed rapeseed oil.

Wermlands Brygghus is a craft brewery producing more than 10 different types of beer. More information about the beer and brew pubs.

Ölme Prästgård Gästgiveri is a White Guide classified restaurant in an old vicarage just outside of Kristinehamn.
